Join us at City Hall!

Thursday, August 9th  | 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

2600 Fresno St, Fresno, CA 93721

Join us at City Hall next Thursday to celebrate, support, and witness the Fresno for Parks initiative take the final step in becoming a city-wide measure. At this historic meeting, we will call on our City Council representatives to place our citizen-led initiative on the ballot. More than 35,000 of you have already signed to support this non-partisan, transformational measure, and we ask you to continue your support to ensure its success.

Bring your families, your voices,
AND WEAR GREEN
as we unite for a common cause.

Your presence alone is a huge support, and speaking is not necessary. However, if you want to speak at City Hall but aren't sure what the protocol is, here are some tips...

1. Introduce Yourself
State your first and last name, and your address for the record. You can also specify which district you live in. If you're not sure, click here for a council district locator.

2. Stay Positive
Share a personal story about why you are excited for this measure. Keep in mind this is not a protest, but rather a show of encouragement for the Fresno for Parks measure and all of its wonderful benefits. To learn more about the benefits, visit www.FresnoForParks.com

3. Keep it short
Keep your message to under two minutes. We want to allow enough time for a wide variety of voices and perspectives to be heard.

Example Speech:

"Hi, my name is [First & Last Name] and my address is [Address]. [Share some brief background on who you are - place of employment, title, mother/father, how many children, their ages, your closest park, etc.], I am excited for this measure because [Enter a benefit from this measure that could benefit you, your children, your neighborhood, or future generations]. Thank you for your time, and I encourage you to place the Fresno for Parks initiative on November's ballot!"
